Well, I have been busy trying to get this site a bit more user friendly.
Headings
The headings now have a distinctive font that I thought they really needed to help them stand out a bit more. I also really like the all caps sharpie on masking tape look of the font. I know it’s not for everyone, but I get to pick so here we are.
Sidebar
The sidebar now shows a lot of information like the original date of pages, last modified dates, lists of tags and links. Since I do not have any search functionality, and don’t plan to try adding one, I think it’s important to at least provide taxonomy links to help people find things.
Updated Pages
Part of that navigation is making sure all pages are using the fields. I have gone back to previous posts and added front matter/metadata where appropriate.
Draft Notices
In something that only I will ever see, I added big, ugly draft notices to any pages that are being served locally while I make edits that are marked as in draft. While visitors to the site will never see this banner, it will help me make sure I actually remove those settings before committing updates to the production server.
